Created from a proprietary blend of hops, Zythos displays quite distinct citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit and piney characteristics in the finished beer. The hop blend was designed to complement typical flavor and aroma hops utilized in American style pale ales and IPA’s.

Application Tip:

The hop can be utilized as a flavor hop addition, especially in the final fifteen minutes in the boil.

For newer styles such as the India Pale Lager, Zythos will provide definitive tropical fruit characteristics to a beer with pilsner malt and clean lager yeast such as Bavarian lager or California lager yeasts.
