Brew and Grow offers a Basic Brewing Class for home brewers seeking to eliminate the guesswork of beginning the hobby!  

During the Basic Class, an expert instructor guides attendees through the process of brewing a batch of extract beer. Throughout class time, the instructor will discuss basic brewing techniques, offer tips and tricks for making the process flow smoothly and provide basic details about the ingredients typically utilized in extract brewing.

Beyond basic processes and ingredients, the instructor describes the importance of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques and leads the attendees through a beer tasting. During the tasting section, the instructor provides instruction on the proper method for evaluating the aroma, mouthfeel, flavors, finish and aftertaste of an individual beer, providing the student with the basic skills for assessing the characteristics of beer and understanding beer quality in clear and simple language.

Throughout the fast paced 2 – 2 ½ hour session, the class attendees will acquire the necessary knowledge for successfully brewing extract beer at home while gaining hands on experience in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. 

The cost for the class is $30.
