Used to test pH of juice prior to fermentation, the Wine pH test strips measure the narrow range of 2.8 – 4.4. As the pH of most musts and wines is between 3 – 4 pH, the tight scale allows for more accurate readings.
For testing pH of Red Wine precursors, the wine under study must be diluted 1:10 (wine to water) to reduce the wines color effect on the test strip. To further test the strip for efficacy, dip the strip into a solution of one cup of water and a capful of vinegar.
100 strips per vial.
