Exhibiting amazing versatility, the Nottingham dry ale yeast offers great performance with every batch, allowing brewers to produce a wide variety of beer styles with a single yeast strain. Highly tolerant of alcohol, the Nottingham proves a great choice for the creation of higher gravity specialty beers! Able to ferment at lower temperatures (12°C/54°F), the strain can be used to produce lager-style beer.
Selected for the strains highly flocculent and relatively full attenuation properties, the Nottingham yeast produces low concentrations of fruit and estery aromas. Described as neutral, the strain allows the flavor of malt and hops to develop.
