¼” MFL x 3/8” Barb’s provide versatility in Keggerators and Draft Bottling Systems.
To connect two lengths of 5/16” gas tubing, the ¼” MFL x 3/8” Barb supplies a necessary component.
First embed the barb into one length of tubing. Place a Gas Nut and Stem Assembly into the second length and thread the ¼” MFL connection to the ¼” female of the Gas Nut, fastening the two lengths together.
Application Tip:
To connect a Blichmann Beer Gun to a draft system, the ¼” MFL x 3/8” Barb is indispensable.
First, clamp a short length of 5/16” gas tubing to one of the gas outlets on a splitter/manifold. Insert the barb of the ¼” MFL x 3/8” Barb into the open end. Lastly, fasten the gas tubing attached to the Beer Gun to the ¼” MFL, quickly threading the two connectors together.
To return the gas outlet of the splitter/manifold to normal carbonating or serving operations, disconnect the Beer Gun.
Take a second length of 5/16” gas tubing and insert a Gas Nut and Stem Assembly into both ends. Thread the gas nut of one end to the ¼” MFL attached to the gas outlet of the splitter/manifold. Thread a Ball or Pin Lock Gas Disconnect to the opposite end and connect the Gas Disconnect to the keg. Done.
